Rekindling the fire of one accord in Christ

In Luke 10:1-2 (KJV), Jesus sent out his disciples: “After these things the Lord appointed other 70 also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

Therefore, said he unto them, ‘The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.’”

Throughout His ministry, Jesus showed what He expected because the harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few.

After His ascension, we see the apostles “with one accord (joined together constantly), devoting themselves to prayer…” (Acts 1:14).

To be in one accord means that they were one in heart and mind –focused on the Lord’s vision.

Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa

That is why the five-fold ministry was instituted when “… gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist and pastor-teacher (were given) to train Christ’s followers in skilled servant work, working within Christ’s body, the church, until we are all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God’s Son, fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive like Christ.” (Ephesians 4:11-13, MSG)

Unity in the body of Christ is not bound by space, location and time.
Men and women of God in Christendom work together in one accord for the cause of the Gospel.

ICTs have made their work easier.

This is why I find the prophetic mix of His Excellency Ambassador Uebert Angel, Kenyan-American Prophet Lovy L. Elias and Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa very interesting and encouraging for the Church.

It displays the rapport, oneness, harmony, solidarity and peace that the Lord, Jesus Christ, wants in His body in order to rekindle people’s love for God.

H.E. Uebert Angel and Prophet Makandiwa, we all know, because they are Zimbabweans working from different locations.

But, who is Prophet Lovy?

The charismatic 36-year-old, US-based Kenyan prophet and founder of Revelation Church in Los Angeles, California, has an interesting biography.

Prophet Lovy

He comes from a famous Soukous music family.

His late father Lovy Longomba was a member of Orchestra Super Mazembe that gave us the hit song “Shauri Yako”, while Awilo Longomba is his uncle.

Another uncle was in ministry and was once nominated for Grammy award.

However, Prophet Lovy is a prophetic voice in the Americas, with strong physical and spiritual connections to Zimbabwe.

From 2016 onwards, he was mentored by Prophet Uebert Angel, a man he recognises as paramount general in the prophetic ministry.

On January 6, 2016 he posted Prophet Angel and his son’s picture on his Twitter handle @lovyelias and wrote: “This is the #Greatest Man I know; a #Giant, #General in Spirit and Deeds. @UebertAngel my only Father.”

He says one of the greatest lessons he got from Prophet Angel was: “Do not assume, because assumption is the mother of all stupidity.”

Prophet Uebert Angel

On September 10, 2021 Ambassador Angel’s Twitter handle (@UebertAngel) carried a video message from Prophet Lovy, where he said: “I just want to send a very special happy birthday message to one of the greatest gifts that God has given humanity. I call him divinity trapped in the flesh, the Honourable Ambassador Uebert Angel – the father of prophets.

“I’m so grateful for you. Words cannot express the impact you consistently and continually have not only on me but billions around the world. My prayer is that God keep you for us, and I say again, may you live forever. Shalom!”

To mimic him: this was a ‘deep’ birthday message.

In his 2023 New Year message, Prophet Lovy told his congregation about the phone conversation he had with Prophet Makandiwa on New Year’s eve.
It was as if they all knew who Prophet Makandiwa was: “Last night, I was speaking to the most esteemed prophet in the world. His name is Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa, a dangerous man, a very, very powerful man of God.

He’s a father to so many and I was on the phone with him… when we talk about the word of God, he will teach me some things …”

A month ago, while teaching on the “Genesis of Linguo”, he said this: “I was speaking to a great father and a great Prophet, very, very mighty man of God that I honour and respect too much; and, when my dear friend and Prophet (Evidence) told me, ‘I was speaking to my father, and my father asked me about you; do you know this guy?’

“I said stop pulling my leg. These were people we’re looking up to, and we’re still looking up to, and we’re learning from (and), he’s asking about me? Stop joking.

“He calls Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa the old man – we call him the old man. Calm man, powerful man, dangerous man, regional commander. This guy’s bad…. He said: ‘What I love about you is in your words. Anyone that can hear from God knows (that) God is in you!’ He told me this: ‘your hunger and your ability to run with God’s Word has made me to love you.

“Notice, this is a great prophet. He doesn’t need to listen to me. These are our fathers. They’re not our level. We’re children. These are men that discuss with God. He’s telling me something like that! It’s scary!”
Then there are also the US-based Java brothers in Prophet Lovy’s mix:

Prophet Passion Java and Apostle Innocent Java.

Prophet Passion even gave a eulogy at Prophet Lovy’s brother, Christian Longomba’s funeral in March 2021.

This took me back to April 2010 when H.E. Ambassador Angel co-hosted a prophetic conference with Apostle Batsirai Java of Tabernacle of Grace Ministries, and a brother to Prophet Passion.

And on January 23, 2013, I authored a piece published by The Herald, “Prophetic debate takes us into 2013”, and partly said: “The prophetic has become a topical issue in Zimbabwe’s contemporary discourse. It is contentious, and judging from what I have seen, read and/or heard, this Godly gifting remains mysterious to many of us. The proliferation of prophets has also become very argumentative. While I agree that some could just be conmen/women, this is no big news. For, there is nothing new under the sun. During the time of Biblical prophets such Elijah and Elisha, it was no different.”

My point of departure: Although the prophetic is the most desirous gift (1 Corinthians 14:1), so too the spirit of unity among believers and their leadership.

This rekindles the love of God, from a body with one accord.
