South Africa has fast become one of the biggest entertainment hubs in Africa and the world. Against these backdrops, soapie opera actors have managed to still the shine with their lavish lives capped with glitz and glamour. No doubt, of late, lead actors in South Africa’s most watched drama series has flocked across the globe for vacations, leaving a lot to be desired.

However, in the mix of things, it seems that most actors from drama series like Generations, The Queen and Gomora have a favourite spot for Zimbabwe. Against this backdrop, we have connected the dots about soap opera actors who visited Zimbabwe and fell in love with the country that boasts of one of the world’s seven wonders. Zimbabwe has recently attracted international celebrities and business moguls like From Will Smith to Bill Gates. And South African celebrities haven’t been sparred from this notion.

Bukiwe Keva as Asanda on Gomora

South African actress Bukiwe Keva is best known for her on-screen character of Asanda on Mzansi Magic’s most watched drama, Gomora. She recently visited Zimbabwe. However, of interest is that she visited Zimbabwe to freshen up her mind after she was axed from the drama series through a WhatsApp message. The bubbly actress shared pictures whilst enjoying her stay at Victoria Falls.

Connie Ferguson as Harriet Khoza on The Queen

The goddess of small screens, Connie Ferguson, visited Zimbabwe back in May. Upon arrival, she was given a royal treat with a five-star dinner at Meikles hotel in her honour. She was the headline of the Women in Business conference in partnership with Nedbank. Connie Ferguson is the brains behind Ferguson Films, which has a string of drama series like The Queen and international series like Kings Of Jo’burg. Currently, she is nailing the on-screen character Harriet Khoza on The Queen.

Kelly Khumalo

Celebrated songbird and actress Kelly Khumalo also joins a list of actresses who recently visited Zimbabwe. Despite being the guest singer at Zimbabwean comedian Felistus Murata Edward’s wedding. However, the rumour mill has it that she had a chance to visit some of the best spots in Zimbabwe.

Sophie Ndaba as Queen Moroka on Generations

Best known for her on-screen character on Generations, Sophie Ndaba has fast become a regular visitor to Zimbabwe. Of interest is the fact that she best the better half of her childhood in Zimbabwe where she learned.
