THE war of words between hip-hop artistes Michael Magz and Saintfloew has intensified, with the latter calling the former “a novice”.
It was Saintfloew who ignited the spate after he controversially stated in a recent interview that Magz was not among the country’s top hip-hop artistes.
Speaking during a podcast, the DennyJ Show, Saintfloew belittled Magz, calling him a “pretender”.
Magz shot back and demanded an apology from Saintfloew.
In an interview with The Sunday Mail Online, Magz launched into a tirade, maintaining that his brand is much bigger and popular than Saintfloew’s.
“The fans are the judges. They know who is bigger and better. I urge him to zip his mouth. He will be embarrassed one day,” Magz, whose real name is Michael Magondo, said.
Controversial Zim hip-hop artiste Ti Gonzi is fighting in Magz’s corner.
“In terms of potential, Magz is far, far ahead of Saintfloew. Magz’s future holds great promise,” Ti Gonzi said.
In response, Saintfloew described himself as “the man of the moment”.
He said apart from Holy Ten, no other local artiste is on the same level as him.
“I once said it and I will say it again: Magz is a novice. I am in the same class with Holy Ten and Magz is far, far behind,” Saintfloew added.
