ZIM hip-hop sensation, Saintfloew (born Tawanda Mambo), will perform in Chitungwiza on February 3.

Born and bred in Chitungwiza, Saintfloew’s handlers described the show as “a home-coming party’’.

He last performed at the Aquatic Complex some two years ago and is no longer staying in the dormitory town.

The talented musician said Chitungwiza holds a special place in his heart.

“I was born and grew up in this town. I have fond memories about this place and I make sure that I occasionally visit my kith and kin,” he said.

Saintfloew, who recently tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Beverly, will use the show to “formally introduce” his wife to his boyhood friends and relatives.

“I recently got married and, as such, I would want to introduce my wife to my friends. Those that want to see my beautiful wife in person must attend this show,” the “Silas Mavende” hit-maker said.

He added with a chuckle: “Those that would want to bless our marriage and give us gifts are free to come to the concert and do so.”

Saintfloew will perform alongside fellow hip-hop artiste Voltz JT, who also hails from Chitungwiza.

Michael Magz and Master H will also take to the stage and entertain the fans.

Saintfloew said he was influenced by sungura artiste Alick Macheso to use the Aquatic Complex as his “home ground’’.

“Macheso always performs in Chitungwiza where he once lived. I am following in his footsteps since he is a source of inspiration,” Saintfloew said.

A number of prominent musicians such as Nicolas Zakaria, Innocent Mujintu, Hwindi President and Lady Squanda, among others, trace their roots back to Chitungwiza.
