“One thing that we are proud of as a choir is originality. That is the main difference between our choir and many other choirs that you are well versed with,” said choir conductor Pastor Samson Nhumbu.

“If one listens to our music he or she can easily discern the difference. I’m not saying we are the best, that’s not for me to say. But I am just proud of our identity,” added Pastor Nhumbu.

Making reference to the track titled Jakuchichi which has been on the Star FM Gospel Greats top 20 chart since last year, Pastor Nhumbu said the song’s performance on air has exceeded their expectations.

“We are also pleased with the fact that it was in the annual Star FM top 50 even though it was (then) only a month old.Jakuchichi is a pure profound Shona word which simply means overflow or no limitations.

“It’s so encouraging to hear our song being played together with compositions from other gospel chiefs like Baba naMai Charamba. The team is riding high and we beseech our fans to keep on voting for the song,” said Pastor Nhumbu.
