Women have for long been looked down upon but it is time everyone realises and accepts that they play a crucial role in developing a nation.
If you empower a woman, you empower a nation. Women play a pivotal role as they nurture children, who are future leaders. It is through women that community cultural values, principles and beliefs are imparted to minors.
The fairer sex is naturally endowed with the ability to nurture a human being from birth, giving guidance and fostering development in every aspect of life.
Empowering a woman is key to economic growth, political stability and social transformation.
As we celebrate Women’s Month, during which International Women’s Day was observed, let us be cognisant that women are powerful and assertive. Let us not underestimate the power and ability of a woman.
Gone are the days when women were only viewed as belonging to the kitchen. Women can set goals and strive to achieve them even in the face of adversity.
