Celebration Ministries International Pastor, Tommy Deuschle has castigated the ill of corruption acknowledging its impact in destroying the economy of any country. Pastor Deuschle said this during the second anniversary of Thrive Victory Business Forum an organisation that is youth led and focuses on empowering young entrepreneurs.
“We don’t have a strategy problem in this nation but what we have is a culture problem. People are self-focused and greedy. Corrupt culture always undermines strategy,” said Pr Deutschle.

Thrive which was re-branded from Hub also aims to create a broader network for participants. It branches from the umbrella organisation, Victory Business Forum for prominent business people. The umbrella body is the brain child of Pr Tom Deuschle founder of Celebration Ministries International.

Speaking at the anniversary last Monday his son, Pastor Tommy encouraged the Christian world to use what they have and grow from there.

Said Pr Tommy, “The culture of ‘we don’t have enough’ should not be tolerated. Everything you need is in you. Once you have a vision provision follows. My dad did things before he even had the provision for it. If God puts it in you, it’s for you only.”
Thrive VBF chairperson, Mr Malvern Hunda said highlighted the critical role the church plays in nation building.

“The church plays a critical role in building the face of Zimbabwe and Africa as a whole. We are a movement and community that inspire and equip current young participants and future leaders of the Zimbabwean economy whether they be entrepreneurs, formally employed or are in the arts sector. I am glad that this organisation is carrying that mandate,” said Mr Hunda.

NetOne Marketing Director, Juliet Ziswa added her voice and encouraged members to work hard, have faith and most of all be grateful of what they have. “You can always bloom wherever you are planted and failure is part of the journey, if you are not failing enough then you are not trying enough.”

Also present at the event were Mr Justin Machibaya and Mr Munya Gwatidzo chief executives of Homelux and Astro Mobile respectively. VBF chairperson Mr Fidelis Manyangadze was also in attendance.
