MANY people live unsatisfied lives because they do not understand their importance and tenacity.
Too many belittle themselves, not knowing that they are of great importance regardless of their physical size, economic or political status.
1 Corinthians 12:17-18 says, “If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.”
In order to discover your part to play in the body of Christ, you must be a member of a local church and serve in it diligently.
Romans 12:11 makes it clear that you must,“Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavour; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord”.
Be passionate (zealous) to play your part, not someone else’s part. You can only play your part optimally if you are consistently, joyously serving and attending a local church (Hebrews 10:25) where you fully submit to the pastoral authority in line with God’s Word (Hebrews 13:17)
Competition in performance in the body of Christ is good and inspirational as long as it is based on the love of God and the advancement of His kingdom.
However, it is unholy and wrong if it is driven by envy, malice, jealousy, selfishness or “attitudes of trying to prove a point to people”.
In heaven we will not be rewarded over the size of the churches and congregations we built, the books we wrote, the businesses and money we were able to accumulate but on our faith towards God, hope in God and most importantly our love for Him.
We must not engage in unholy competition, but rather run our race of life and edify not crush other people in trying to fulfil our destiny in Christ.
We must not look down upon other people and the tasks they do. The pineal gland is one of the smallest organs in the human body and it is responsible for producing melatonin which supervises the body clock — how we sleep, wake up and respond to seasonal (summer and winter) changes.
The pineal gland also controls sexual development. Small as it is, it is a key organ of the human body.
Some people will ignorantly look down upon a toilet cleaner but the truth of the matter is that if the toilet is not cleaned, it is rendered unusable and everyone will be affected.
Someone might look down upon a house helper (derogatorily called house maid by some).
The day that she/he takes a day off or quits is when you will realise their worth.
God promotes you to greater glory and confers greater authority on you as you diligently serve Him (Psalm 75:6-7).
Your life must always be upwards and forwards only, in Jesus name, Amen.
