Acapella group Firm Faith Zimbabwe says it will keep spreading the Gospel through music after launching their sixth album recently.

Titled “Whispering Hope”, the album has 12 tracks providing a message of hope to the nation and the world at large.

“Music is our calling and we will keep on doing it. This is our latest offering and to us this is a message of hope to the country and the world,” said the group’s music director, Marshal Matshilele.

Matshilele said they would soon embark on international tours under the theme “Whispering hope to the world”.

“The album is out and as we have said before, preparations are already under way for our tours. We hope to tour South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and Kenya. We will be in the US in August, where we will perform for the first time,” he said.

Matshilele said the group had done much to meet international standards and they were confident their album would be appreciated.

“So far, some people in South Africa are requesting the new album. They know our music from previous albums.”

“Whispering Hope” is a fusion of old and new hymns which the group hopes will have cross-generational appeal. The album has Ndebele, Shona, Zulu and English songs. Tracks on the album include “Little is Much When God is in it’, “Baba Ndiri Mwana Wenyu,” “Whispering Hope”, “One Day Jesus Will Call My Name,” “Wawanirwa Nyasha” and “If We Never Meet Again”.

Proceeds from the album launch will be used to buy a vehicle for the group.
