She is your queen

The Sunday Mail

Now several people have been on my case about exclusive Zimbabwe. Apparently they are mad that Miss Zimbabwe had those exclusive rates of US$300 per ticket for their crowd. “In church, we see the haves occupying the front row seats and now even national events are now elitist!” was the rant.

True, Yours Truly went through the media last week and the bulk was on that issue. Many are saying they do not want to have anything to do with the Queen and it’s quite sad when a national event is shunned by the very people who should support it.

But if we are to call a spade a spade, then the Trust has no one but themselves to blame for this.
If you don’t invite the masses, you don’t attract their votes!

Herald Spot On
And so, The Herald was raving mad last week. They were mad about the power cuts and couldn’t imagine where that madness by Zesa was coming from.

It seems they are angry and to be quite honest, so is the nation. It was madness, they thought in one of their editorials.

True, Zesa is in itself often a giant mental asylum supported by public funds and that is not news, but apparently Eskom South Africa is also doing the same.

It must be two ladies collaborating to do that just to switch off the boys’ television sets and get them closer as the World Cup takes top spot ahead of cuddling in between the sheets and other stories.

It’s perfectly understandable when you view it from that angle really!

A Dozen Cattle Eggs!
Somebody in the MDC-T wanted a bit of relevance and went about it the worst way possible. So, here is how it supposedly went about.

After getting a free lunch via a non-direct vote to land a Senatorial seat in the august House, one woman named Lillian Timveos decided to “say something” just to seek a little relevance.

Of course, she didn’t make a sex tape, like most women do internationally in their attempts to get noticed.
She decided to take a dig at Didymus Mutasa’s remarks a week earlier.

And this review is from online site NewZimbabwe.com: “As far as she was concerned, the harsh words by Cde Mutasa were an indication that at Zanu-PF the cows are definitely coming home to roost!”

Hmmm . . .
Now, if cows are roosting, just one cow egg and a massive omelet is in the offing.  I wonder, though, how hard the eggs will be if the cows that have to roost and incubate them have calves after the whole ordeal.
And when they roost, do they also go cock-a-doodle-doo?
Either way, that was something to chuckle about this week in the media.
The one that spilled through all everybody’s fingers. Finally, there is a story the media missed.
Much has been said about Tsvangirai’s lover, Ms Nyathi, but nobody seems to have captured that she is the younger sister of a woman he was earlier in love with and had previously promised to marry.
Was this a simple case of “Kutamba chiramu” or was Don Juan Tsvangirai simply living up to the name?
Or maybe it is a case of buy-one-and-get-one-free?

Until next week!…
