Rishworth House is providing world class education and facilities

Rishworth House makes provision for expatriate and international pupils who may only be in Zimbabwe for a short period of time.

The school already has two Canadian girls, Sekai and Nandi Chikodziwho, who have been at Rishworth House for three weeks and who will be very reluctantly going back to Canada.

Their mother, Sarah, recently commended the school for its excellence.

She wrote: “I am writing to thank you for the very warm welcome our family has been given at Rishworth House over the past three weeks. This was our first visit to Zimbabwe as a family, though my husband is Zimbabwean.”

“We wanted to provide our daughters with an opportunity to have an independent experience amongst their peers here in Zimbabwe so that when we return to Canada they would have something of their own to share with their friends and family.

“We also felt it was important for our children to experience the culture of childhood here, and Rishworth House provided them with a wonderful opportunity to do so.

“After a member of our family’s church recommended that we try Rishworth House, we met with Hans and were blown away by the beauty of the school property and the professionalism of the staff.

“The views at the top of the hill where the school is located are absolutely stunning.

“The classrooms are well equipped, the teachers are highly motivated, and the children have been kind and welcoming to our daughters.

“The level of education is on par with Canadian standards, if not of a higher quality. Thank you again for this wonderful experience.

“We wish your school all the success it deserves.”

Other parents have also hailed the school for providing excellent facilities.

“I like the focus on education. The teachers are excellent and the approach to learning is top-notch. This really is the greatest, most fundamental reason why my children are at this school.” Mr Fundira (Grade 6 parent)

“I would like to commend the Grade One teacher and her teaching assistant. They have been excellent so far. My son has learnt so much in so little time.” Mr Moyo (Grade 1 parent)

“This is an awesome, fabulous school where, if we parents work with the school in all aspects, great things can be achieved. The staff are friendly and cheerful. I can see through my children that they are really being taught.” Mr and Mrs Makombe (Grade 5 parent)

“The staff are very friendly, very accessible and willing to assist in whatever way possible. The inclusion of Cambridge as well as French is good. It sets our children apart from many others in several other schools.” Mrs Munyeche (Grade 3 and pre-school parent)

“To be honest, I am impressed with the standards of this school. Rishworth House started with a bang and we are happy to be associated with it. If we keep up this momentum this will be the most sought after school in Harare within two years.

‘The size of the classes allows the teachers to have one on one interaction with children.

This is what we call a real private school. In one week the teachers had already identified areas that require support in one of our children.

“This is a top-notch personal touch. Keep the standards high, before you know it you will have long waiting lists for all grades.” Mr and Mrs Matunga (Grade 2 and Grade 6 parents)

Rishworth House is in the process of appointing a six-member board of governors, which will be drawn from members of the banking sector, the legal profession, the auditing world and the education sector.
