Apostle Tovonga Vutabwashe of the Heartfelt International Ministries has taken positive steps in the fight against women abuse, adultery, divorce and sexual abuse.

Heartfelt International Ministries last week held a concert in Ashdown Park, coined the ‘Real men’s resolution’, and oversaw over 350 men take oaths before God and the church that they will strive to make Zimbabwe a safe environment for women and children.

“I do solemnly resolve before God to take full responsibility for myself, my wife (to be) and my (future) children. I will love them, protect them, serve them and teach the word of God as the spiritual leader of my home,” read part of the oath.

“I will be faithful to my wife (to be), to love and honour her and be willing to lay down my life for her as Jesus did for me . . . I will confront evil , pursue justice, love mercy and my nation. I will pray for others and treat them with kindness, respect and compassion . . . I will learn from my mistakes, repent my sins and walk with integrity as a man answerable to God.”

The oath was made by all men despite their marital status. Before making the resolutions, the man of God ministered to them.

The sermon contained biblical reference on how men should create a safe haven for women and children.

Apostle Vutabwashe urged men to focus on productivity and progress instead of sexual satisfaction.

“Real man should promote the involvement of females in all businesses without asking for sexual favours in exchange. We need our women and girls to compete in a fair environment without fear of being asked for sexual favours or being raped,” said the man of God.

“Our children should be able to travel safely even in public transport that are mostly populated by men without fears of being raped or physically abused.”

He said all men who beat their wives are like fools who misdirect their aggression of failure in life on innocent souls.

The event was supported by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) and some local artists. ZRP together with local partakers of ‘Real men’s resolution’ concert marched from Corner Harare road and Ashdown drive to the church.

The march which was held to promote a peaceful environment and fight crimes as well as social deviances was accompanied by the police band.

Popular Gospel rapper Mudiwa ‘Hood’ Mutandwa, of the”Ndaita mari” fame, also performed during the concert. The 29 year old talent performed his song ‘Shinga’ where he encouraged women to also support their men in fulfilling their oaths.
