Tafadzwa Shamba (40) and Tapiwa Makore Senior (60), who were convicted for killing seven-year-old Tapiwa Makore three years ago in a ritual murder, were sentenced to death on Wednesday by High Court judge Justice Munamato Mutevedzi.
Shamba was found guilty of harbouring the intent to kill the minor, while Makore Senior was convicted as an accomplice to the crime.
Capital punishment is still in Zimbabwe’s statutes.
