Schweppes Zimbabwe recently donated an assortment of groceries and other goodies to Bumhudzo Old People’s Home and Chinyaradzo Children’s Home in Chitungwiza.
The donations were part of sharing cheers during the Easter holiday, and in celebration of women’s month.
Speaking during the donation, Schweppes corporate affairs executive Ms Ropafadzo Gwanetsa said: “The drive is meant to engage communities and corporations that we should always look up to the elderly and children to support in terms of their needs.
“We are committed to continuously supporting the elderly and the children as part of sharing a narrative to our Mazoe brand, which is over 100 years in existence to our valuable customers.”
The Salvation Army’s Major Susan Marera expressed gratitude for the donations.
“Bumhudzo Old People’s Home caters to the elderly and with these donations, we will surely go a long way,” she said.
Chinyaradzo Children’s Home supervisor Mrs Venia Chinyaradzo said the donations will assist the children during their school days.
“We are delighted to have received the donation today,” she said. “Our pupils will make use of it in their day-to-day running of the school.”
