THE Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is offering a US$5 000 reward for information that may lead to the arrest of suspects involved in the recent robbery of 11,6kg of gold at How Mine.

Police have since released names of the suspects who attacked a cash-in-transit crew that were transporting gold from How Mine to Fidelity Gold Refinery in Bulawayo early this month.

In a statement, police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said:

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of the under-listed suspects who are being sought in connection with a case of armed robbery in which the suspects attacked a cash-in-transit crew which was transporting gold from How Mine to Fidelity Printers, Bulawayo, before getting away with 11,6 kilogrammes of gold worth US$450 000 on October 4, 2022, at the 21km peg along Bulawayo- How Mine Road, Douglasdale, Bulawayo.”

The suspects include Xiba Nkosilathi (aka Tonderai Vumbunu), Abraham Vumbunu, Elijah Temai Vumbunu, Israel Zulu, David Sanyatwe, Jimmy Gonyane, Vincent Ishmael and Abbysinia Shuma (also known as Dulini).

Police are also hunting for three more suspects only known by the names Chabikwa, Kelvin and Mike.
