Government has exceeded the targeted number of bales for the livestock feeding programme, which was introduced last year to reduce the lack of grazing pastures in Matabeleland North and South provinces.
In a statement, the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development:
“The target was to produce 500 000 bales of hay and curb, yet it was surpassed by 1 363 000 bales.”
