Government will continue to have dialogue with business, as Zimbabwe’s ongoing economic transformation requires all hands on deck from both the public sector and the private sector, President Mnangagwa has said.

Speaking during the 2nd edition of the E.D Mnangagwa Business Summit in Harare this afternoon, the President said:

“I assure you of my administration’s commitment to always have dialogue with the private sector to ensure that we realise mutually beneficial outcomes and that we win together. No challenges are insurmountable when we face them with tenacity and unity,” he said.

The President said resolutions from the business summit should help in “enhancing and sharpening our policies, growing trade and the economy as a whole.”

He exhorted the business community to align their strategies to export-led production and take full advantage of the vibrant regional and continental markets that are set to grow through the African Continental Free Trade Area.

Mr Denford Mutashu, President of the Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers, which organised the event said this year’s theme for the summit: “Deepening Zimbabwe’s Economic Transformation -Winning Together” is in line with Vision 2030.

“This year’s theme resonates well with the country’s accelerated tangible development and transformation under the Second Republic, hence the need to identify and highlight progress areas and get both private and public sectors to increase cooperation and partnerships to achieve Vision 2030.”
