“WOMEN at Crossroads” – a film festival that is being coordinated by the International Images Film Festival for Women (IIFF) – will be held in Harare and Domboshava.

Running from November 24 to 27, film screenings will be held at Afrotopia and Alliance Francaise in Harare.

In Domboshava, they will be held at Mungate Hall.

The festival will showcase an exciting line-up of films from all over the world.

Among the countries that are taking part are the United States, Bangladesh, France, Cameroon, South Africa, Senegal, Spain, Brazil and Germany.

This is the 19th edition of the IIFF.

The theme of this year’s festival centres on highlighting the daily struggles that women face.

Tafadzwa Chovhuchovhu, who is coordinating the festival, said apart from the film screenings, several activities are also lined up.

“Apart from the screenings, there will also be group discussions on the gender dimensions that would have been raised by each film.

“Acting, directing and producing classes will also be conducted,” Chovhuchovhu said.

IIFF is one of the longest-running and consistent women’s film festivals south of the Sahara.
