IN a move aimed at supporting local and regional tourism by providing improved connectivity between tourist destinations, Fastjet says it will soon introduce daily flights from Victoria Falls to Nelspruit Kruger Mpumalanga in South Africa before mid-year.
During a recent educational media tour of Victoria Falls, Fastjet spokesperson Mr Nunurai Ndawana said: “In our committed support of Zimbabwean and regional tourism, Fastjet will increase the number of flights from Victoria Falls to Nelspruit Kruger Mpumalanga in South Africa to a daily service from early July to the end of September 2024.
“These two destinations are among Africa’s most sought-after tourist attractions and as Fastjet we are delighted to provide a reliable and efficient flight service allowing tourists to explore more of Africa’s attractions.”
He said the inclusion of Nelspruit Kruger Mpumalanga in Fastjet’s flight network reflects the airline’s focus on expanding its presence in Zimbabwe.
In 2021, Fastjet connected various locations across the country, including Kariba and Hwange, as part of its long-term goal to provide comprehensive coverage nationwide.
The Hwange and Kariba flights, he said, will resume during the peak season, ensuring the availability of convenient air travel options for travellers.
