PREPARATIONS for the 2022 Population and Housing Census are on track, with levels one and two training having been completed last month.
Addressing Tuesday’s post-Cabinet briefing, acting Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Dr Jenfan Muswere said: “The preparations for the 2022 Population and Housing Census are on track, with levels one and two training having been completed in March 2022.
“This year’s bulk of personnel is drawn from the teaching fraternity, youth and other civil servants from security sector …”
Meanwhile, all institutions of higher learning will be closed from April 18 to April 30, 2022 to “pave the way for the enumeration of students in their usual households”.
Church members are similarly encouraged to be at their places of residence during the same period to allow the smooth conduct of the census.
