A man from Bulawayo’s Pumula South suburb was left counting his losses after two armed robbers allegedly choked him before tying his hands with a rope, sodomising and robbing him of his car, cash and cellphones.

The 59-year-old was driving along Coghlan Avenue in Bulawayo’s Parklands suburb when the incident happened.

“While he was driving along Coghlan Avenue at around 6.30pm, he saw a boulder blocking the road. He stopped the car and disembarked to remove the big stone. While he was trying to remove the stone, two robbers emerged from behind the car and grabbed him,” said Dube’s relative.

Soon after that, they demanded money and took two cellphones and US$195 before driving away.

On the same day, he reported the matter at Kumalo Police Station.

Police from the Vehicle Theft Squad attended the scene.

Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident.

Termites lay siege on cheater’s private parts

A GWERU businessman’s habit of romping with married women took a disastrous turn when he experienced a rare condition where mysterious creatures suspected to be termites laid siege on his private parts.

The disturbing development happened after he allegedly bedded a married woman believed to be “centrally locked” with runyoka/ulunyoka by her husband.

The termites reportedly covered his private parts for days.

The businessman (name supplied), who is in the transport industry, then confessed to his wife and family that the experience began shortly after he had slept with a married woman.

His manhood also reportedly kept disappearing each time he wanted to make love to his wife.

Runyoka/ulunyoka is an indigenous way of “locking” a spouse to prevent them from committing adultery.

This is done without the knowledge of the partner.

The streets of Gweru were abuzz with news of the businessman’s situation in recent weeks.

According to a source, the woman’s husband is said to have warned the businessman to stay away from his wife.

“He slept with a ‘fenced’ woman and he experienced that rare condition when termites attacked his private parts . . .

“He tried getting help from traditional healers and prophets in Gweru but none of them managed to assist . . . Eventually, a colleague recommended Gogo Chihoro, a sangoma in Harare, who was able to assist him,” said a source who requested anonymity.

Gogo Chihoro, nicknamed “Queen of Justice”, rose to fame when she delivered what some call “paranormal justice” on behalf of a gold miner from Mberengwa, Midlands province.

The miner had allegedly lost US$30 000 to armed robbers and Gogo Chihoro unleashed a swarm of bees to attack them, forcing them to return the stolen money.

The bees reportedly tracked down the suspects before stinging them into submission.

Defeated and in pain, they surrendered themselves to the victim and returned the loot. As if that was not enough, Gogo Chihoro also reportedly unleashed a baboon-like creature on a businessman in Chitungwiza who had defaulted or neglected to pay for the services of a man he had hired to renovate his house.

The sangoma, however, declined to discuss private details about the businessman.

Ulunyoka/runyoka comes in different forms, like using a knife, snake, fish, bees and other things,” she said.

“We have people known to perform or sell ulunyoka/runyoka. While many believe it can be reversed, the stigma often silences the afflicted. This silence forces them to endure their suffering alone, leading to their death.

“The problem is that people often stay silent when affected. For instance, those supposedly locked with a knife can potentially be unlocked with the same knife. However, the stigma discourages them from seeking help . . . But, in this case, the woman refused to cooperate, so I have to resort to herbal remedies to help unlock him.” — B-Metro

Sex pest father from hell

In a shocking incident, a 14-year-old girl from Deli village in Nyamandlovu, Matabeleland North province, bolted from her room after reportedly waking up to find her naked father fondling her breasts and rubbing his manhood against her thighs while intending to rape her.

It was reported that on April 5, the girl was sleeping in her room and woke up to a shocking discovery.

Her father, whose name is being withheld to protect the victim, was allegedly fondling her breasts and caressing her body while rubbing his manhood against her thighs.

The alleged victim pushed him away and bolted out of the room.

The girl, fearing her father, who was only in his boxer shorts, would rape her, sought refuge at a neighbour’s house.

She frantically knocked on their door and they opened it just as her father, who was in hot pursuit, arrived.

The man pleaded with his child to forgive him, claiming an evil spirit had temporarily taken over him.

The incident was reported to the police, leading to his arrest.

He appeared before Bulawayo regional magistrate Collet Ncube facing an attempted rape charge and was not asked to plead.

He was remanded in custody to April 23. — B-Metro
