FC PLATINUM new boy, Rodwell Chinyengetere says he came to Zvishavane to win the league title.
The former Hwange man suffered a career threatening injury in 2012 in a league match against Monomotapa at Rufaro Stadium.
The injury shattered his hopes of making a move to the ABSA Premiership where he was wanted.
It also came at a time when the striker had just broken into the national team.
However, with his fitness back, the striker is looking ahead with hope.
“I thank God for the miracle because nobody, even myself, thought I would come back onto the field and play again after my horrific injury,” said Chinyengetere.
“I came here to Zvishavane to win medals, especially the championship medal. I looked at all the teams that were chasing my signature and saw FC Platinum as the team that could guarantee me honors as they are always championship contenders and professional.
“I was a captain at Hwange and that is history now as I am here to play football and help the club to be a force to reckon with in the league and on the continent.”
The presence of Norman Mapeza also helped sway the 28-year-old Chinyengetere to Zvishavane.
“I admire coach Norman and I am looking forward to repaying the confidence he showed when he signed me.
“I also hope that through the grace of God, I will maintain my form and score goals,” he said.
Chinyengetere nearly joined the miners last season but the deal fell through at the last minute.
