Give thanks for his mercy

The Sunday Mail

Pauline Matanda

“O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever. Great is His mercy towards you. Great is His love towards you. Great is His faithfulness towards you.” (Psalms 107:1)

Give Him thanks for His mercy and loving kindness or faithful love.

Let this be the content of your prayer in 2023.

Acknowledge that God is merciful, gracious and compassionate, and give thanks. This is what you will experience every day of your life.

Due to His mercy, you do not get what you deserve. You get what Jesus has earned and deserves. You deserve to perish in the hands of your enemies but you experience Jesus’ victory in all situations.

You experience protection and breakthroughs, instead.

Every good thing you have is a gift from heaven. God, who is good, is the source. Thank Him for what you have received – the gift of life.

Count your blessings and you will see that God has been good to you.

James 1:17 reads: “Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.”

We thank God for the new year. I wish you a prosperous and fruitful 2023.
