Celebrating life in Victoria Falls

ONCE again, Doves Funeral Assurance policyholders on the Dove Lifestyle package enjoyed a weekend gateway in Victoria Falls, one of Zimbabwe’s top destinations. It was a weekend not to miss as fifteen couples were treated to a relaxing weekend at “The Smoke that Thunders”. Every year, the aforesaid funeral policy accords policy holders the opportunity to unwind from the hectic demands of the city and make time either with their spouse or anyone else in the mood for a holiday escapade.

A holiday package for two to a local destination is the dominant gain among numerous other top-range benefits for Dove Lifestyle package holders, which comes after twelve months of consecutive premium payments and three years thereafter.

The couples were booked for two nights at the lavish four star A’ Zambezi River Lodge overlooking the view of the river.

A number of activities were lined up for them.

First, the group was tour guided through the majestic falls that was at its peak in the month of June.

The participants also visited the Crocodile farm before capping it with a cruise in the mighty Zambezi River for sundowners, sipping on drinks in the burnt orange hues of the most vivid sunsets.

Musa Makondo, a mother of three, says the holiday came at the right time as she needed moments to herself, away from the busy city life and school runs.

“I am so grateful that Doves has helped us to celebrate life before honouring death. It took time for me to believe my husband when he came home telling me of a funeral policy with a holiday benefit,” she said.

Michelle Ganga, the Doves Funeral Assurance Marketing Executive, who joined the policy holders on this holiday, said the getaway gave her the opportunity to get more intimate with clients and focus on their needs.

“The Dove Lifestyle package was introduced in 2012 and it is part of a plethora of innovations being implemented in the organisation. Doves Funeral Assurance is a market leader in product innovation and this is achieved through intense market research to discover the current needs of the market.

“We strive to bring add ons to the basic funeral cover to suit individual needs. The holiday was an eye opener. Doves Holdings recently acquired a new fleet of buses and some of them have been set aside as tour buses for these holiday trips,” Ganga said.

The Doves Funeral Assurance Marketing Executive went on to reveal that Doves Holdings has embarked on awareness campaign aimed at imparting knowledge to their customers who have funeral policies but do not know their status or are in doubt.

She said they should get in touch with the Doves Call Centre.

Most of the policies have since matured but the holders are unaware.

Meanwhile, Doves Holdings has introduced new ground-breaking packages and improved on the existing traditional packages.

This out of the box innovative approach will now be the benchmark for Doves Holdings as it continues to strive not only to give the very best of service, but to create memories that celebrate life.

This business mantra is part of the evolution of the company following its acquisition by a consortium of businessmen led by Farai Matsika in 2012.

The organisation has acquired new buses, hearses, ambulances and upgraded all its facilities countrywide.
