BOOKS: ‘Pressure will make or break you’

“IF you are not meeting some level of pressure in your life it means that you are going where it does not matter at all,” reads the opening the book “Managing Pressure”.

2506-2-1-BOOK REV“Managing Pressure” was written by the founder and president of Heartfelt International Ministries (HIM), Apostle Tavonga Vutabwashe, and it carries key strategies for Christians to handle any form of stress.

Apostle Vutabwashe suggests that pressure is the chief diet for those who want to achieve greatness in their lives.

The book reveals that pressure mounts on an individual according to how much they can handle it. The more treasures one carries, the more pressure likely to mount on them.

The HIM president asserts that the Devil is attracted to the level of greatness within a person and is always in a fight to pull the person down through pressure.

The book acknowledges that “It is not pressure which kills you but it is what you think while under pressure that kills you”.

Some people are suicidal when facing a lot of pressures, feeling that their world has come to an end. They think everything is hopeless.

Apostle Vutabwashe urges people to use pressure as a way of achieving greatness and not to view it as the end of greatness. This is achieved by thinking and saying positive things about a situation.

“Pressure can make you get there faster or it can break you. Pressure has in it the ability to push you faster. If you are not able to ride upon pressure it can kill you or destroy you,” said the founder of HIM.

The author encourages Christians not to break down when they are under pressure, and they should never stop praying.

Apostle Vutabwashe gives the example of Paul in the book of Philippians. Although Paul was in prison, he focused on spreading the Gospel.

The book says every problem has its season, which will come to pass. But in some cases, people prolong the duration of the season because of how they handle their problems.

“Every problem you encounter has in itself the ability to expire no matter how hard you pray or you don’t. It can expire despite you doing anything about it or not. Never worry your-self about such pressures because these problems will eventually come to an end,” reads part of the book.

Apostle Vutabwashe says Christians should remain confident, even when they don’t see a way out of their crisis, because God is always in control: “All things work for the best to those who love the Lord.”
