Hunt for Greatness
Milton Kamwendo

Momentum is always your best friend. Nurse the fire within you and it will serve you well. Let the fire within you burn bright and it will keep you moving even when the terrain is rocky.

Stay strong and keep moving towards your vision of greatness. Greatness never comes at bargain prices. Persist, and this is how you keep the fire burning. Plan to stay in the game, this is how you keep the fire ablaze.Feed your faith and starve your doubts. No tidal wave or stream of problems can be strong enough to extinguish your personal fire. Whatever happens to your inner fire is because you let it happen. Be on fire and burn all doubts.

Make your dreams and goals your magnificent obsession, your only option and consuming focus. Do not allow your mind to dwell on your fears and do not feed on bitterness. Stop fighting unnecessary battles and directing your anger on the wrong targets. Let the fire within burn bright, always building momentum to become a bone fire. When you meet someone on fire you can feel it.

Be persistent, ever learning and feeding your fire. Do not be distracted. Do not despair and do not lose focus. Your future us too precious for you to trash it because you could not keep standing. Keep on moving and on fire. Do not worry about haters and their friends, just be too busy to be blinded. Keep moving and pursuing your great vision.

Pause a little, if you have to and if you are feeling tired but do not give up and do not stop moving. One step every day is not too much to ask. Standing on for one more day is not too big a challenge. Keep on fire and make every day, “Day 1”.

A heart of fire cannot be defeated, or deafened. A heart of fire puts momentum into your step, power to your action and spring to your feet. A heart of fire cannot die so easily. It always rises up to face and frame with positivity whatever is going on. Own the frame that you use to look at your reality and context.

Take action

Keep your heart on fire. A heart on fire is revealed by sustained action despite the afflictions, adversities and anything else that may blow hot or boil over. Keep taking internal-fire-inspired action and moving. Even if your legs are heavy, keep moving.

Even if there are obstacles in your way, negotiate around them. Even if it is tough, keep moving and you will make it. Do not despair, do not give up. Focus on what matters ultimately. While your pain might be private, your victories will be enjoyed by many beyond your imagination. You are fighting for more than yourself.

Keep your heart on fire and take massive action. Ultimately it is action that matter and not just titles. Stop podium-lusting and be goal-driven. Stop dreaming titles and take deliberate and focused actions of greatness. Your fire is revealed in bold action; sustained action and vision-driven action.

Mere wishes and empty suggestions do not count for much. Dump all superstition and believe only the fire within as real. Grand standing, attention seeking moves are not fire. Fire up the furnace within and dig deep foundations. Fire is taking action even if no one sees you putting the needed plumbing.

Elevate your thoughts, strengthen your stride, and keep the fire burning. Be like the firefly, even during the day, let your fire and glow be seen in spite of the sun. Be resolute and clear-minded and keep at it.

Mr Robin Sharma wrote a special book entitled: “The Leader Who Had No Title”. He knit his thoughts about effective personal leadership that does not depend on titles in a fable and embedded powerful principles that are worth taking note of. In the book he states that the foundation of success is self-leadership.

“If you can’t lead yourself, you’’ll never be able to lead anyone around you,” Sharma says.

Find your fire, and burn. Set yourself on fire and let others come and see you burn with the flame of purpose and vision. Your fire is that centre of strength inside you that cannot be extinguished or shut down. That fire within is what you can use to ignite others around you. Take action, keep yourself aglow and be massive in action.

Take charge

Take control of your environment and do not look far, instead start with your day, this day. Each day comes pregnant with activity, surprises, celebrations and pressures. Set the tone for your day and temper the day with your fire. Use the beginning of your day to fan your personal fire and focus you energy.

Read books, article and tweets that ignite your flame. Listen to messages, videos and books that inspire you to fire your flame. Connect with your environment and nature, watch things that fire you up. It maybe a beautiful rise giving you strength or a beautiful sunset that warms your heart. Control your day and thought stream. Be intentional with your thoughts and your fire.

Take control of your environment as much as you can. Make it inspirational and motivating. Your environment should be filled with cues that make your internal fire burn ever more brightly. Put pictures and forms of the things that burn within.

Order your environment to respond to the fire within. Take charge and let your fire burn ever so brightly. You may not be able to change the whole world, but at least you can influence the space around you. You can influence your spheres of influence and spheres of concern with your fire.

Take charge by filling your life with positivity. Crowd out the fears with your positivity. Drain out the toxic negativity by filling your thoughts and environment with fiery positivity. Engage like a burning one, not a burnt one.

Talk right

Your fire within is connected to your tongue. How you speak determines the intensity and extensity of the fire. It is amazing how change in life happens and how each era has its heroes. Before there were films where actors could speak, and dialogue, there was the great actor by the name Charlie Chaplin.

Mr Charles Spencer Chaplin, was born on April 16, 1889 in London, England and died on Christmas Day in 1977. He was a British comedian, producer, writer, director, and composer. He is regarded as the greatest thought leading comic artist of the movie screen. He was a paradigm-shifter who redefined the movie industry and was an important figure in motion-picture history. He excelled within the silent-movie mental frame that prevailed at that time. Breakthroughs come in small doses and shifts, and when you have fire you etch your name in time.

Mr Chaplin lived out his fire. I am inspired by one line that he once shared that is a master-piece for everyone who has a burning fire within. Charlie Chaplin once said: “I have many problems in my life, but my lips don’t know that. They always smile.” That is powerful and instructive. Everyone has problems, some big, and others not so big. How you talk is so important. Like Mr Chaplin, your lips must never know your problems. They must speak what you want in your life and where you are going. To keep the fire burning, use your lips as a powerful igniter not extinguisher.

Fire frame

Frame your fire and control the frame. What you see depends on the frame that you use. Frame your context with eyes of possibility and the frame of faith-filled vision. The frame that you allow to take hold in your mind will determine wither your fire lives or dies.

Committed to your greatness.
