SUNDAY MAIL Baby competition kicks off with a bang

The Sunday Mail

THE annual baby competition kicked off in style last week as hundreds of parents and guardians responded to a call for entries for The Sunday Mail/Jet Baby of the Year contest.

This year promises to be an exciting promotion with plenty of fantastic prizes to be won, as more partners such as Zimpharm have come on board to lend their support.

There is over US$8 000 to be won in cash prizes thanks to three partners, Jet Stores, Zimpharm and The Sunday Mail. Winning babies will also be crowned as Face of The Sunday Mail/ Jet Baby Competition 2016, with blankets, clothing hampers, and many other consolation prizes also to be enjoyed by many customers who come to shop at Jet stores during the competition.

The 12 winning babies and their families will also walk away with significant cash and clothing voucher prizes.

The final date for entries into the competition is August 31. To enter the competition, customers must be Zimbabwean residents, who have to spend US$5 purchasing toddlers’ clothing worth US$4 and buying a US$1 copy of The Sunday Mail. Zimbabwe’s biggest newspaper is available at every Jet Store throughout the country.

Alternatively, customers can buy The Sunday Mail from regular newspaper vendors or outlets, cut out the entry form and on submission attach proof of purchase (a receipt) of US$4 from any Jet outlet. Entrants must be the parent or legal guardian of the baby and will be required to produce identification to this end. Completed entry forms must be accompanied by a full colour printed photograph of the baby taken within the last two months.

Rumbidzai Dzimba, the marketing executive for Jet Stores, said this year’s competition had been designed to be more exciting and beneficial to all parties involved. “We are excited to include customers’ purchases towards this year’s The Sunday Mail/Jet Baby Competition through offering customers wider options to make purchases.

“For more information, customers can also visit our Facebook page – Jet Zimbabwe, and participate in a very exciting online competition for a chance to win clothing vouchers and various consolation prizes,” said Dzimba.

Readers of The Sunday Mail and Jet Stores customers eagerly await this yearly competition, which gives their little ones a chance to shine and be celebrated in the biggest national newspaper every week. Added Dzimba: “Jet has partnered The Sunday Mail again this year as the value derived from this relationship has been immense.

“This year, Jet has introduced a wider range and assortment of Jet Baby and Toddler merchandise, to afford customers the opportunity to enjoy their shopping experience by accessing more choice. Jet will continue to give back to customers through such competitions, as this gives customers the opportunity to win in return for the support they give to the business.”
