IRATE Dynamos fans yesterday demanded the immediate sacking of goalkeepers’ trainer Gift Muzadzi whom they accuse of sabotaging the team.

O

n a day that DeMbare put up another lifeless performance, embattled coach Paolo Jorge Silva repeated his claims that he is being sabotaged.

“If feel some people don’t want to win, it happened at Chicken Inn and it happened again here today,” said Silva whose side has failed to find the back of the net in 180 minutes of football.

“I think it’s time to stop and talk. The problem we have is for me and the board to talk about, the president knows what the problem is, everyone knows where the problem lies. We need to fix it quickly.”While Silva did not mention any names, the DeMbare fans believe Muzadzi is the problem and yesterday they chanted “Muzadzi must go” slogans soon after the final whistle.

Police had to move in to disperse scores of angry Dynamos fans who had camped just outside the stadium’s main gate, threatening to take some unspecified action against their goalkeepers’ coach.

The goalless draw against David “Yogi” Mandigora’s side left DeMbare with a single point out of a possible six, the club’s worst start to a season in 13 years.

Silva feels his team could have easily dismissed a Triangle outfit whose defence was well marshaled by former DeMbare kingpin Guthrie Zhokinyi.

“We could have scored 10 goals, I am not happy with the result. I know these players can play 10 times better but something is happening.

“I want to promise the Dynamos fans that I came here for the championship. My players need to come to the party, I know they will work hard for three points in our next game,” he said.

Dynamos will play Mutare City Rovers at Sakubva next week under pressure to register their first win of the season while Triangle will welcome Border Strikers.

Silva has had a topsy turvy relationship with Muzadzi and the latest episode in their never ending scuffles exploded during the week when DeMbare played Gunners in a practice match.

The Portuguese mentor exchanged harsh words with Muzadzi and team captain Augustine Mbara, who were trying to restrain him as he launched an attack on Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries leader Walter Magaya.

Silva and Magaya had disagreed on the way the practice match was being handled by the referee.

In another incident in February, Silva and Muzadzi came close to exchanging blows at Rufaro after a disagreement on which keeper to use in a friendly match against Whawha.

The heated argument had to be diffused by club secretary Webster Chikengezha.

Meanwhile, Mandigora, who took over a side deserted by almost an entire starting line up during the off-season felt that the draw was a fair result

“It was good coming back home and getting a point from Dynamos, both teams played well and a draw was the fairest result.

“We lost a large chunk of players and brought in some new faces, so for us it is still work in progress. We are still trying to get onto our feet,” he said.

DeMbare fans fume on social media

Proff Luke Mbune I put the whole blame on Silva, he is straining relations with players, TECHNICAL TEAM, Sponsors and media practitioners. Everyone at Dembare is frustrated by Silver so this is a sabotage as you know action speaks louder than words.

How can he say he is happy with team playing when they were succumbed 3 nil by Chicken Inn? No one wants to follow a crazy coach #hazvisizvebhoraizvi

Nowah Tambala The executive is not sticking by its mandate .Look at what they are doing for example their failure to pay for their training venues, failure to acquire team doctor hence some utility players failing to play citing injuries and the sabotage in the technical team, the players and the coach.

Givemore Warren Tapera Its very simple Gold. The executive must fire Gift Muzadzi who we are told is instigating a clique of players to underperform.

Twice he has clashed with Silva. Why he was not dropped when Ndiraya was relieved of his duties?? He is a serpent and must be shown the door. I watched today, s game against Triangle and it was clear that the players were playing below par to sacrifice Silva

Collin Mushunje Marimba ….Dembare Executive is to blame here…over the years they have failed to pay the players n coaching stuff handsomely so one wonders now how they affording to pay murungu uyo rentals n all…….how do u expect the players

Ronald Mujuru Our team lacks the requisite depth.

Remember we drew with a team from Mutoko during preseason, that result was a true reflection of what is on the ground. Majority of players in our squad, Silva arikurima ne mbudzi

Godfrey Nyoni the players who are resisting change, they are not playing according to the coach’s instructions, all being instigated by former Dynamos players who want to see Silva out and coach the team themselves.
