Sharp Shooter: For how long will you be misled? Sunday Mail

The Sunday Mail

Vukani Madoda
That charlatan, the so-called Prophet Austin Liabunya from Malawi and his sheepish congregants together with a gullible private media that continues to rush in where angels fear to tread has been left with egg on his face after falsely predicting that President Mugabe would meet his demise in 2015.
This is now 2016 and Austin’s doomsday prophecy gleefully predicted last year has yet again exposed him for the counterfeit man of God that he professes to be.
President Mugabe is as fit as a fiddle and is right now enjoying the good things that life has to offer while your poor flock, among them a desperate private Zimbabwean media which finds itself at sixes and sevens for having given you editorial space, is still wallowing in the poverty of your doomsday cult prophecy.
Austin, ‘prophets’ like you are the gatekeepers of hell and are bent on trying to transform themselves into angels of light so that you may find sport in tormenting your faithful hypnotics.
For years, many have been misled to think that the end is nigh for President Mugabe and Zanu PF. For years and even decades, many have believed that fat lie.
Some have been born waiting for President Mugabe to pass on and many have died before he has even shown any signs of ill-health. Still today, we have a lot who continue to hope against hope that Cde Mugabe will give in. There have been plenty of enemies in and around Zimbabwe, enemies as far afield as the US and the UK who have budgeted for and created so-called civic organisations all in the hope of seeing an end to President Mugabe’s reign.
Some organisations are called ‘Crisis in Zimbabwe’. Of all names, they had to pick that name as if the country is in perpetual chaos.
However, the brutal irony is that such organisations are the ones that find themselves in administrative crises with boardroom coup after boardroom coup being the order of the day.
Other organisations talk of being a human rights watch in Zimbabwe and yet they do not behave like human beings or respect any human rights.
President Mugabe, just by virtue of being alive, has exposed all these prophets of doom for what they truly are – opportunists who are bent on making a quick buck from unsuspecting believers of their suspicious cause, be it civic society related or religiously inclined.
Surely, for how long will you be misled to think that President Mugabe and Zanu-PF are not the right leadership for Zimbabwe? For how long will they promise you a heaven on Earth only after President Mugabe and Zanu PF are gone?
For how long will you continue to believe such lies instead of realising that heaven is already on Earth in Zimbabwe and all you have to do is to pick the fruit from the unforbidden trees? For how long will you wait and how long will you continue to be dangled a pie in the sky?
Many prophets of doom have come and gone disgracefully.
Remember Pius Ncube, that adulterous fornicator who mocked the celibacy of the Vatican soon after abusing his cloth by praying for President Mugabe to die. Surely you remember him.
Where is he now? Is he not the one who is now the living dead? He tried in vain to mislead a lot of religious believers and yet he was just an attention-seeking sinner who attracted married women in order to baptise them in the name of his open zip.
Today, other traitors have emerged and they call themselves People First. They are busy selling a dummy in cohorts with their commissars in the private media as they talk of a new year’s message that is void of any substance.
It is the same old opposition rhetoric that the Western teddy bear called Morgan Tsvangirai has been beeping for a decade and a half. There is nothing new, nothing relevant. Everything is recycled.
“Zimbabwe is not an island . . . ” “We have to create an environment for investment . . . ” “We should build bridges . . . ” Blah, blah, blah!
What utter drivel! What poignant hogwash! The people are tired of being misled by such painful rubbish.
You are just looking for a quick buck through cheap politicking. Anyone who takes this People First cabal seriously must have fallen on very dire and desperate times not to know that there is no difference between Prophet Austin Liabunya’s doomsday cult prophecy and this non-existent party’s wishful thinking.
As if that is not enough, we are threatened that a number of Zanu-PF MPs are going to defect enmasse to People First. Surely for how long can the people be taken for granted?
Think Simba Makoni and his Mavambo project which is yet to begin anything. Remember the threats which engulfed us, that “very senior” Zanu PF members were getting ready to join Simba.
Seven years down the line, they are still getting ready to join Simba?
Oh please! People First my foot! Only one person has joined them – that political chameleon called Kudzai Mbudzi who meanders from one political grass patch to another, just like his surname.
The year 2016 is not one for Zimbabweans to be misled.
They have learned the ropes, they know which road leads where.
Zimbabwe has come of age and the old trick of playing on people’s gullibility will not hold water. Zanu-PF has exposed all liars.
President Mugabe has shown us the devils amongst us and as the Christians often say, the devil is a liar.
