KINGDOM Prosperity Ministries (KPM) leader Apostle Rodney Chipoyera has chastised ‘prophets’ who are charging money for deliverance and healing, saying the practice was tantamount to robbing unsuspecting Christians.

The comments come in the wake of mushrooming of “lodges or guesthouses” where those who seek healing, prophecy and deliverance are made to pay anything from $1 to as much as $300.

He said the idea of booking believers into lodges to have a ‘one-on-one’ prayer session with pastors or prophets was not scriptural.

Speaking during a spiritual clinic service on Wednesday, Apostle Chipoyera quoted Mathew 10:8, which says, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”

The KPM leader explained that because God freely gave his servants the anointing, no one was supposed to put a price on it.

“Giving must not be a condition for deliverance. If someone doesn’t give then they can’t access deliverance? That is merchandising the gospel. Making people pay $350 for deliverance is wrong.

“People should be delivered for free and once they have received what they are looking for, they then show appreciation for what has been done.

“Remember the 10 lepers in the Bible. After their healing only one came back to say thank you. It was not a thank you by word of mouth, it was an appreciation offering. Let’s witness results first then we appreciate. Not to make people pay for nothing because most of these people are not being helped.

“Men of God please first help people and they will bring appreciation. Jesus did not charge people. Charging for anointing only proves that it’s not from God because if it is from the Almighty you don’t put a price. Stop robbing people, stop robbing people,” he said.

“The Bible says all things should be done in order. I will continue speaking against making people pay for the gospel because I have the anointing from God and the miracles to back it up.

“I have heard about people selling their cars to go to Nigeria seeking for healing and deliverance; they come back in a worse position. That is nonsense. I know of a woman who has been to all the lodges, but nothing has changed. Yet the so-called ‘men of God’ are living a lavish life at the expense of these people who are still afflicted after going to the lodge,” Apostle Chipoyera said.

Meanwhile, Apostle Chipoyera and wife, Apostle Farai, will host a Supernatural Conference from Wednesday to Sunday where he will freely pray for deliverance and healing.

The conference will also be graced by Bishop Bartholomew Manjoro and South African based Pastor Tich Tanyanyiwa of the Prevailing Word Ministries International (PWMI).

On Wednesday, the conference will kick-off with a healing and deliverance service from 6am to 10.30am while the evening session will start from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

The focus will be on teaching saints how to prosper God’s way in line with the Word of God. The Supernatural Conference continues on Thursday morning from 6am to 10.30am while the church will gather for a teaching on prospering in God’s way from 5.30pm to 7.30pm

Congregants will be in church from an all night vigil which starts at 9pm on Friday with the focus being healing, prophecy and deliverance.

The conference ends with a Big Sunday service.

“All those who have spiritual problems should come to the conference for permanent solutions to their problems.

“People should be taught the word of God and be encouraged to believe the Lord for their healing and deliverance. All this should be done in church in the presence of all to prove that the miracles are indeed from God. Miracles should be based on the word of God.”

Apostle Chipoyera has been used mightily by God to set the captives free as proven by the following testimonies;

Tendai Tomu testified that he was healed of a kidney problem which gave him sleepless nights for 10 years while a 12-year back pain instantly disappeared from Gladys Gadzaweta. Marion Mujeki gave glory to God for being healed of a severe migraine headache.

Others who testified include Fortune Kaviya who had a problem with her shoulders for 33 years and Esther Guwa was healed of stomach pains.
