FC Platinum …....(1)2
Dongo Sawmills …....(1)2

NORMAN MAPEZA is losing his cool as his FC Platinum side struggles to find rhythm with the short-fused coach yesterday venting his frustration on veteran journalist Paul Mundandi.

After watching his side salvage a barely deserved draw against a fired-up Dongo Sawmills at Mandava yesterday, the under pressure Mapeza refused to grant a post match interview to journalists in the presence of Mundandi.

The FC Platinum coach did not kindly take the journalist’s reportage of his expensively assembled team’s humiliation away to Tanzania’s Young Africans in the caf Confederations Cup last weekend.

Mapeza accused Mundandi of describing FC Platinum as useless after they were hammered 5-1. After that humiliation in Tanzania, the home side came into the match seeking a morale boosting win but it was the visitors who caught the eye. Dongo took the lead in the 7th minute through Physwell Madhazi.

The striker reacted first to a throw in from midfielder Evans Chikwaikwai and coolly beat Petros Mhari in goal fro the platinum miners. Walter Musona could not believe his eyes when his goal bound shot was saved by Dongo goalkeeper Forward Pfumojena in the 12th minute.

However, FC Platinum levelled matters in the 24th minute when Kadoma0-based referee Josiah Masinira pointed to the spot.

Musona sent the Dongo goalkeeper the wrong way. Blessing Dzumbunu put the visitors back into the lead on 80 minutes when his stinger from a goalmouth melee whistled past Mhari.

Donald Ngoma then made sure that FC Platinum got a share of the spoils when he scored in injury time. The striker marked his return from injury when he exchanged passes with Musona in the box and dribbled past three players before firing past an exposed Pfumojena. Dongo coach Shadreck Mugurasawo was satisfied with the point away from home. “There is nothing very special about FC Platinum. We are playing in the same league so we are just the same and today we proved we are not in the league to make up the numbers,” he said.
