Out and About
FORGET about the absence of foreign performers, local stars are holding their ground. They have set the festive mood in motion and are trying their best to keep it rolling. A number of activities will be taking place every week until we say adios 2017.

Focus this week is at . . .

Club Las Vegas

Sungura fans will today be in for a treat as king of the genre Alick “Baba Sharo” Macheso will be headlining a braai party at Club Las Vegas in Southerton. The fiesta is being hosted by proprietors of the leisure joint as an early Christmas party for their patrons and Baba Sharo’s fans.

Also the event will help celebrate the opening of a new butchery at the joint. A series of shows running up to the last day of the year have also been lined up at the venue with Progress Chipfumo taking to the stage on Unity Day Eve while a Unity Day Party has also been slated for December 22.

The Flame

This uptown venue will play host to the Hennessy party which has been dubbed the “Hennything Can Happen” affair this coming Saturday, December 23. An array of top DJs including Juice Strongest DJ, AM, Fujee, Reverb 7, TK Beats, Judgment Yard, Naida, L-Roy, Dee Nosh and Selekta Base to name a few will take turns to entertain patrons at this exquisite event.

The Big Turn-up

The Big Turn-up is one of the fasted growing monthly events in the capital and the last edition of the year is set to be bigger as it will be held at Newlands Country Club on December 22, which happens to be Unity Day. Dubbed the “Royal December Edition” it will have artistes that include Takura, T-Mula, Chi, Jam Signal, The Movement and The Family 263 taking to the stage.  Organisers are encouraging people to come wearing bright colours so as to liven up the summer and festive season celebratory mood.

1+1 Revel Saturdays

1+1 Happy has become the capital’s go to club every Saturday with The “Family 263’s Revel” concept being the most exciting on this particular day of the week, attracting large numbers from all walks of life.

This coming weekend they have organised a special edition to gently usher fun lovers into Christmas. Apart from resident DJs there will be several surprise guest artistes who will be performing on the night.
