THE Philani Ncube, Kevin Kaindu beef stewed on yesterday after the latter openly stated he was happy to see Harare City relegated.

Ncube’s Harare City will play the 2018 Caf Confederation Cup from Division One and Kaindu loves every bit of his rivals’ demise.

The Chibuku Super Cup winners beat How Mine 1-0 at Rufaro to move to 38 points but that was not good enough as Bulawayo City thrashed Bantu Rovers 5-0 to finish on 39 points.

“I am happy that Harare City has gone down because they don’t play football, I am telling you,” said Kaindu.

“Let them stay in Division One,” he fumed.

“Their reception is a problem, let them go and play in CAF where they will learn a lesson…they will be taught how football is played.

“We have lodged a complaint to the match commissioner, we had to wait for 15 minutes outside.

“It’s not only today, all the years that I have come here, Harare City has always been a problem.”

While Kaindu was feasting on Ncube’s quandary, the burly Harare City coach was moaning.

“It’s (relegation) something that will haunt me, in my career I have never been in this situation, but life goes on.

“If possible we need to go back to the drawing board. Whether I will stay or go we need to decide, the team management and I, see where we meet, if it means parting ways its fine.

“But if it means going to Division One with the boys I have no problem with that.”

It was also a sad day for the people of Hwange who will not witness Premiership football at the Colliery next season after Chipangano lost 0-2 at ZPC Kariba.

Hwange went into the game on 37 points, needing a win to ensure safety but they fell to Talent Chamboko and Raphael Manuwire’s goals at Nyamhunga.

Chipangano coach Bigboy Mawiwi had this to say after the match.

“It’s difficult to get a result when you join the team mid-season. I got the team when the mid-season window was about to close.

“As a team we were also not very consistent, there were games that we should have won, like the one against Yadah FC but we failed to,” bemoaned Mawiwi.

Harare City and Hwange join Bantu Rovers and Tsholotsho on the trip to Division One football.

Elsewhere, Shabanie Mine ensured safety with a 2-0 win over Yadah FC at Maglas.

Resurgent Farai Mupasiri and Maxwell Muvirimi were on target for the Zvishavane side.

But it was Bulawayo City who survived the chop in emphatic style, hammering five past Bantu Rovers at Luveve.

Newman Sianchali scored four goals with the other one coming from Trevor Ndlovu.
