ZIST honours executives Dr Anxious Masuka

TOP business organisations and executives who are championing development received awards from the Zimbabwe Institute of Strategic Thinking (ZIST) recently.

Among the executives that bagged awards were Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development Minister Dr Anxious Masuka, Zimbabwe National Roads Administration chief executive Mr Nkosinathi Ncube, Agricultural and Rural Development Authority CEO Mr Tinotenda Mhiko, SADC Accreditation Service chief executive Dr Eve Gadzikwa and Zimbabwe Women’s Microfinance Bank boss Dr Mandas Marikanda.

Zimpapers Television Network (ZTN), a subsidiary of media giant Zimpapers Group, won the most outstanding digital media company award.

Other corporates that received awards include Nyaradzo Group, Mashwede Holdings, Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority and BancABC.

Apostle Batsirai Java also received an award for philanthropy.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, guest of honour, Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry Deputy Minister Barbra Rwodzi said the ZIST awards are in sync with the Government policy of ensuring that businesses innovate and rethink their operations.

“Let me reiterate that indeed it is Government’s policy to create a conducive policy environment for businesses to grow and expand their activities in an inclusive manner, where no place and no one is left behind.

“His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe is on record that for us to attain Vision 2030 and achieve national aspirations and goals, as espoused in the national blueprint NDS1, we have to work together, through public-private partnerships. Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo,” she said.

ZIST founder Mr Tinashe Mazimhindu said his organisation is a local think-tank responsible for solution-focused thinking that proffers answers to policymakers.
