Zanu-PF has congratulated First Lady Amai Grace Mugabe and its Vice-President and Second Secretary, Cde Joice Mujuru, for graduating with doctorate degrees, saying their achievements demonstrate true leadership.The party also congratulated other senior Zanu-PF officials who graduated at the University of Zimbabwe on Friday. These include Cdes Lazarus Dokora, Abigail Damasane and Patrick Zhuwao.
In a statement yesterday, Zanu-PF secretary for information and publicity Cde Rugare Gumbo said Amai Mugabe and VP Mujuru were living up to President Mugabe’s legacy of promoting education.
“There is no question at all that Zimbabwe in general and Zanu-PF in particular stands to benefit from these enormous accomplishments and that our political, social and economic discourse will be more enhanced by this,” said Cde Gumbo.
“We urge all our young people to feel challenged by it and to realise that it is never too late to improve oneself educationally… In the same vein, we wish to applaud everyone else who graduated yesterday (Friday).
“They have our best wishes and we look forward to seeing their positive efforts towards the development of Zimbabwe.”
