Your mind is not a prison

The Sunday Mail

As a basic principle, life is what you make it.

It is normal that some people will cross your path and make your life miserable.

If you want to live a good life do not hold prisoners in your mind.

The best life is lived when you do not have people stuck in your head, especially those who keep you busy and on the lookout.

You cannot have sleepless nights over people who you could easily forget about.

When an issue arises, have the guts to open up and clear the air by expressing your discontent.

Make sure everyone knows that you do not hold grudges.

Unless you talk about issues with the intention of clearing concerns you may risk falsely accusing people, and confining them in your mind.

It is not enough to judge someone, then come to a conclusion that will weigh you down.

The worst you can do is commit to guarding your own prison when you have an option to make the better decision of learning from every situation.

Choose to let everyone enjoy their freedom, but especially yourself.

You will be wronged, and it is natural to seek out and deal with the trouble causer.

In most cases you will get to know the person and how they orchestrated the whole ordeal.

In some instances, it may remain vague who the culprit is, but you may have a list of your suspects.

Whatever the case, you are better off letting go than to take prisoners.

Should anyone qualify to being your prisoner, be wise and set them free.

Imprisoning someone will give your unnecessary commitments in a life where there is already a lot that you’re your attention.

Treat everyone openly, so that you do not worry about who is doing what, where, and why.

You will waste your precious energy guarding your prisoners.

You will want to know where they are, what they are doing and with who.

This you will do at your own expense

You are better off using your imagination to do other things that make you improve your life.

Clouding your mental faculties with your past experiences will close your future doors.

Innovation and creativity is not your share as you keep yourself busy with your prisoners.

When you free your prisoners the greatest winner is yourself for you allow yourself to fly high and see beyond the horizon.

Life is too short and resources are scarce for you to afford to keep prisoners.

Your mind will always be preoccupied with another person’s life.

For every occurrence in life there is always the best way out.

It is never easy but if you forgive and forget you will afford yourself a new lease of life.

When you opt not to take prisoners, you will release yourself to keep focused on your goals and ambitions.

Prisoners are excess baggage which will slow you down.

With prisoners, life gets complicated as you try to control that which is beyond you.

You do not have to be busy doing things that do not improve your life.

Sometimes your prisoners will not even take notice; or if they do, they may not even show concern.

Confining yourself to taking prisoners will consume you more than anything else.

Both the prisoners and the watch man assume confined freedoms, there is no need to limit your freedoms over anyone in life.

Free yourself from bondage by setting everyone in your life free.

The guard and the prisoners endure the same routine of watching over each other.

You can do better than that in life.

Do not reduce yourself to being a watchman over another person’s life.

Remember the prisoner always wants to escape from the watchman. You do not want anyone to play hide and seek with you, for whatever reason.

Live your life in the open and make the best of opportunities that lie in everyone that your interact with.

Bad days from bad people are unavoidable realities, just make them learning points.

Have control of your life and never have your heart weighed down by taking prisoners.
