YADAH FC moved two places up the ladder to 13th position after registering their sixth win of the season at Rufaro yesterday.

The Walter Magaya-owned team came into this match on the back of a three-game winless streak, the latest being a 4-1 humbling in Ngezi but yesterday Yadah FC finally got it right thanks to a late goal by super sub Munyaradzi Chiwara.

Chiwara, who replaced Johannes Sibanda four minutes after the restart, found the winner in the 85th minute when he unleashed a powerful rising shot from inside the box after taking advantage of some poor marking by Chapungu defenders.

Yadah now have 24 points, three clear of the relegation zone as the 2017 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League race staggers towards the business end.

It was, however, another barren outing for Yadah chief striker Roderick Mutuma who is yet to find the back of the net since joining the Harare side from Highlanders during the midseason window.

Yadah coach Thomas Ruzive defended the former Dynamos striker.

“He is yet to gel with his new teammates. We need to give Mutuma more time,” said Ruzive who has taken over the reins following the reassignment of Jairos Tapera early this month.

“These are crucial points for the team in our quest to avoid relegation,” said Ruzive.
