When the tide is too strong, seek help

It is not every day that you can be at your best.

Even when you have it all worked, things can change for the worse.

Life can be overwhelming, whether you are strong or weak.

Even if you are a strong character, you can have your weak moments.

Then there are those moments when you feel the pressure is too much, or the temptation is overwhelming.

Every person has their weak moments.

When life happens, which it often does, you should call out for help.

Reaching out is simply acknowledging that you do not know it all, not that you know nothing at all.

Sending a distress signal is not a sign of weakness.

Greatness is maintained by knowing when to do what in different situations.

Some of the bruises people endure are avoidable, especially if the issues are addressed in time.

There is no need for you to suffocate when you can reach out.

Your status is of no value when you are drowning, allow even those seemingly unimportant people to help you.

After all, everyone in society has their distinct function.

There is someone out there who can hear your story, and help you navigate to safe waters.

Be open to other people.

If you don’t feel safe conversing with your people, even a stranger can come in handy.

Trust that there is someone who can see things from a different angle and advise you differently from your viewpoint.

It is healthy to speak out your feelings or frustrations in search of a solution.

You may not always have the best solutions, so sharing may point you in the right direction.

Your strength is not measured by what you endure, but by what you conquer. Keeping a problem to yourself will weaken you over time.

In search of the winning formula, you can share when the tide is too strong.

You do not share your story only to solve the problem, but first to raise hope that it can be done.

Not everyone you talk to has the answers to your problems, but the assurance you get is necessary.

When the tide is too strong do not focus on the tide, but the best way to make a safe passage.

Understanding how bad your situation is should not be your major preoccupation. It is critical to have a clear picture of your problem, but the greater part of your time should be spent reflecting on the brighter side and how to get to the other side.

Mastering the art of speaking to your situation is one great survival strategy. One such way is by speaking to someone about what you are going through. There is nothing that has never happened before, it is not surprising that someone out there has a testimony of the same issue you would be going through.

Sharing a story is the best first step forward towards finding a lasting solution. The process of sharing takes making some deliberate decisions which are key in regaining your power.

Accepting that you need to talk to someone on your own gives you control over the situation.

Your comments in a conversation when the tide is too strong can make or break you as a person.

Being positive and making positive affirmations has the power to improve the situation, if you label yourself a failure then why do you dare try?

What you say in your conversations tends to come true to the situation. The best life is lived by being positive when you address life issues.

Critically everyone should be a potential good listener that is what creates safety nets for society.

Someone should feel safe to talk to you about their situation. The next person who comes to you would have made their deliberate assessment and never make the mistake of breaking such trust and confidence. If you cannot help, the least you cannot do is to go around talking about it to other people.

Be your brother’s keeper by sharing a message of hope and being at your best to find workable solutions.

You can share your story; it is a sign of wisdom lest you suffocate with the world watching.
