VaShagare: Of Murape, Bosso Haram and fools of Amazulu!

The Sunday Mail

AMAI TWO, or Amanda Murape to you dear reader, took an unusual but revealing step last week.

The wife of former Dynamos captain Murape Murape disclosed that all is not well at home as her man, the Warrior we call King Mura, struggles to deal with being dumped by a side he served ever so loyally.

Amanda, whom we call Mai Two because of the twins she bore the Murape clan, believes DeMbare are messing up Murape by failing to pay him his dues and ignoring his phone calls.

She is right!

“Whenever my husband tries calling them, they don’t pick up, they ignore him. My husband is a man of his principles, he has done a lot for the club. I feel even if they don’t need his services there is a better way of parting ways and honouring him. He is also a Dynamos son and deserves respect.

“I am not asking for much but respect for all Murape has done for Dynamos. They owe him money from unpaid signing on fees and bonuses from 2012, 2013, 2014 amounting to about $6 000 and as it is we haven’t paid school fees, rent and we are facing eviction. How do they think he is surviving,’’ Amanda was quoted as saying by The Herald on Tuesday.

I could feel the pain in Amai Two’s words as I read that story while waiting for my turn to get into the Civil Court for a maintenance variation case in Harare.

That story made me realise that there are people with much bigger problems than mine.

Mr and Mrs Murape are some of those people.

But wait a minute, haven’t we had this story before?

Is this not how Dynamos treats the people who serve it well?

Memory Mucherahohwa has qualms about the way DeMbare treated him, Desmond Maringwa too is bitter but being the diplomat that he is Khule has not used Facebook to vent out his frustrations like Mwendamberi.

Samson Choruwa and Francis Madziva both have a bone to chew with the Glamour Boys after being dumped like used condoms the day they got injured.

On his part, Murape Murape should have known that Dynamos has a hooker/client relationship with its employees, it all ends the moment you have nothing else to offer.

King Mura should have prepared for life after football because he knew, like we all did, that we couldn’t play forever.

That vulgar Cremora song had to stop one day!

Meanwhile, Kenias Mubaiwa, the Dynamos chairman — sorry president — has to stop playing politics with this matter.

Everyone knows Murape was not his favourite soul but if the club owes Baba Two money then the club has to pay Baba Two his money.

Every dog has its day and Kenias, whose transformation from chairman to president paints a picture of a power hungry man, needs to start treating people with respect.

This penchant of bad mouthing people like Snoop Dogg, or Ras Snoop, or whatever name the American musician is being called these days, will backfire on him one day.

One day is one day, so goes that lottery advert from Mzansi.

Bosso Haram

Events that unfolded at Barbourfields last Sunday have been pondered upon for the whole week but the matter is not settled until Va Shagare has a word on it. My message to the Bosso hooligans who want to turn BF into a warzone is simple . . . GET A LIFE!

Now to the clowns of Amazulu

South African premiership misfits Amazulu are behaving like clowns in the Carlington Nyadombo matter.

We all know they suspended the Zimbabwean because of ridiculous allegations that he was using juju to make the team lose.

The “we suspended him because of dishonesty” line is hogwash.

You know there is something wrong when a club that is supposed to be professional and is sponsored by a leading supermarket chain behaves like an institution in the movie Mr Bones.

For Nyadombo there is life after Amazulu.

Who would want to stick around at a team that is as good as relegated anyway?

VaShagare exits the scene!
