GOOD people, the Covid-19 vaccine is safe and effective in terms of preventing serious illness, hospitalisation and death from Covid-19. On that basis I recommend that you be all vaccinated at the earliest opportunity. I was vaccinated last week.
Don’t be fooled or swayed by the East/West geopolitical rivalry which started long back whereby the USA/NATO alliance versus Russians and Chinese on one side are always out to outdo each other in all spheres including the race to the moon, the arms race, now the vaccine race and the Second Scramble for Africa.
In Europe they are boycotting the AstraZeneca vaccine for political reasons — it’s a British company vaccine and they are shunning the British for Brexit!
My advice is, take all vaccines approved by the Government of Zimbabwe and don’t worry about the noise. As a senior doctor in this country I just felt obligated to offer my advice to fellow Zimbabwe.
