General (retired) Dr Constantino Chiwenga and Colonel (retired) Kembo Mohadi were on Friday re-appointed as the country’s co-Vice Presidents.

The two were sworn in by Chief Justice Luke Malaba at a ceremony at State House following their appointment by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Speaking after the swearing-in ceremony, Vice President Chiwenga promised to continue supporting President Mnangagwa in pursuit of Vision 2030.

“What we are saying is that we are going to achieve it (Vision 2030) before the year 2030 comes and we are going to work tirelessly day and night in supporting His Excellency the President to realise that vision.

“For us to do that, we want to do it in unison, peace, unity and love through hard work by every Zimbabwean,” said Vice President Chiwenga.

Vice President Mohadi said he would continue to serve the nation.

“I’m here to serve the nation, and I have been serving the nation since the coming of the Second Republic and I will continue to do so. In terms of development, we have our own agenda that we have set for ourselves. In fact, we have a vision that we set and under that vision we have got the steps and strategies to attain Vision 2030,” said Vice President Mohadi.
