HIGH-FLYING sungura artiste Tendai “Tindo” Ngwazi (pictured), who is still basking in glory after his song “Musatipedzera Nguva” scooped the Radio Zimbabwe Song of the Year award, has released his fifth album titled “Denga Radaira”.

Tindo is Mark Ngwazi’s younger brother.

His new album is composed of six tracks, namely “Hwikwitiki”, “Tirikukuzivai”, “Toothpick”, “Ngatidye Zviripo”, “Rikagezwa Rinoita Nyowani” and “Denga Radaira”.

He believes the project will dominate music charts this year.

With the likes of Alick Macheso, Simon Mutambi, Romeo Gasa, Mark Ngwazi and Chief Hwenje among musicians set to release new albums, a confident Tindo opines his latest offering will hold its own.

“I know that the majority of the high-profile musicians are going to release new albums this year.

“I am not worried about that. My album will compete favourably with any album,” Tindo said.

“Denga Radaira”, according to the artiste, is a song of gratitude to God for fast-tracking his music career.

“This album acknowledges the power of the Almighty in my life. Since 2018, when I started music, my career has been rising and rising,” he said.

He, however, concedes that there is a lot of competition within the sungura                genre.

“There is stiff competition within sungura. The majority of the high-profile sungura artistes are going to release albums this year. This is going to be a dog-eat-dog affair.”

Tindo is set to embark on a nationwide tour to introduce his new album to fans. Songs on the new project have also been uploaded on various social media platforms.
