Being in the company of my friends and former Prince Edward schoolmates has afforded me a simpler way of adjusting to life on national duty.
It is amazing that we have reached this stage together and I am happy for “Tate” (Mukuruva), he continues to make strides and it feels good that he is a former schoolmate.
Also having Tino (Kadewere) and Thomas (Chideu) in camp is just fantastic; we joke, talk a lot about our school days and that way we have managed to ease into the system.

As you can see, brother, we are listening to some Zimdancehall music with my friend Tino (Kadewere); that is our way of relaxing after a tough workout. We are always together when we are in camp for national assignments.
We usually share rooms among the four of us; myself, Kadewere, Mukuruva and Takwara whenever we are in camp.
We were in the same team that represented Harare Province at the 2013 Youths Games and it is amazing today we are all in the national team.
It is nice to have one of our own Tate (Mukuruva) being hailed by the whole country and I am proud of what he did for the nation in Malawi last week.

I have always believed in Tatenda’s talent, we were in the same class at Prince Edward at Ordinary Level and I know he is destined for greater heights.
He was always brave in goals and that is why he was the school’s first team ‘keeper at Form Two. We just pray that we continue in this right direction.
National team days are some of the best for us, they remind us of our days when we were together back at Prince Edward. How time flies! God is awesome, he has taken us this far.
