The essence of beauty

Dr Solomon Guramatunhu, who is director of Zuri Africa Global Programme (ZAGP), has said women are more beautiful in their natural form.

ZAGP captures the uncorrupted, unfiltered, true image of the African people, and communicated that to the global audience.

“Women look more attractive in their originality and there is no need to enhance that beauty. They look like goddesses in their bold, short hair,” said Dr Guramatunhu.

ZAGP ambassador Florence Chideya added that the inability to accept reality or originality leads to lack of identification and cohesion.

Beauty is the true origin of a person, without compromising, enhancing or diluting it.

It comes naturally, as it is the quality that gives truthfulness and originality.

There is nothing wrong with being African and black, the skin and hair is fine.

The most important thing is to embrace who you are.  There is no need to change yourself by using bleaching products on your skin. The capacity to look original — in this case black — shows the African pride and great self-esteem.

Beauty is arguably a key to unlocking new doors to life. Thus, many people are willing to go to extremes to look beautiful.

Many have undergone plastic surgery to acquire certain looks.

Unfortunately, the procedure does not always deliver the intended results.

The risk is simply not worth it.

The beauty of the inner soul is more important than everything else. When that inner beauty is achieved, everything else will fall into place.

While cosmetic products are used to “enhance” beauty, they also have adverse effects like causing skin allergies, premature aging and skin cancer.

When it comes to hair products, some can cause hair loss.

But, being original comes with no cost. There are no side effects for being naturally beautiful.

Always remember that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, there is no standard definition of beauty.
