WHAT is this we hear that the transgender “disease” has come to town? A few weeks ago the mainstream media and social networks went on overdrive with the story of Bruce Jenner’s transition from being a man into a woman, something described by several commentators as a science project.

With Zimbabwe proving to be homophobic, imagine how many people would frown with disgust at a man who turns himself into a woman. Transgender is taboo here, but alas, last week a man identified as Tatelicious claimed live on a local radio station that he was going through a full gender transition.

Could this be the beginning of a cultural revolution? Is Zimbabwe ready for this?

Sunday Buzz is reliably informed that this charismatic urban groover, famed for his stint in a regional television reality show is literally pestering club owners for a chance on the decks.

The talented musician who has fathered numerous kids with different women is said to be pressed by maintenance issues.

He is also a regular at the Civil Courts where such matters are resolved. Thus he is employing every measure possible to raise funds to meet his obligations; failure of which he will sooner rather than later find himself behind bars.

The musician was introduced to the decks and MC business by his longtime friend who also happens to be a musician. Desperate times call for desperate actions.

Has the situation at Young Igwe’s band become that bad? After realising that the Kwekwe-based youngster was struggling to pull crowds to shows, a loyal fan has offered to help.

The avid follower of Utakataka Express, who is a law enforcer, has offered to help the Young Igwe by recording an album with him, otherwise, the fan will record his own album – sinking Utakataka Express in the process.

Last week he was ranting and telling everyone who cares to listen that he has been pushed to the limit by Young Igwe’s failures and lack of respect, and was set to detonate a dynamite.

Problems between the two started a few weeks back when the young musician’s crowds dropped to an all time low.

Despite denials from two top musicians, Jah and Sulu, that there is no bad blood between them – Sunday Buzz has it on good authority that the camps have become “mortal enemies”.

However, they are both exceptional at fake smiles while telling anyone who cares to listen how the other will soon disappear into obscurity.

Jah has been murdering Sulu lyrically – with a song on the new album that is widely believed to be targeted at Sulu being extremely popular among Jah’s diehard fans. Could this be the reincarnation of the Alick/Tongai wars of yesteryear?
