REIGNING Ironman and Zimbabwe national champion Aaron Musarurwa will take a break from his training schedule to grace this week’s Trysupp Novice Zimbabwe.

The 23-year-old says he wants to help aspiring bodybuilders.

Musarurwa is in the middle of a rigorous training regime for the Arnold Classic South Africa, which begins on May 19.

The Trysupp Novice Zimbabwe will be held at the Zimbabwe College of Music on Saturday.

“I will indeed be there at the Trysupp Novice Zimbabwe,” said Musarurwa.

“It is an important event, one which I also competed in a few years back, and hope to do anything I can to inspire and help any new and budding bodybuilders.”

Musarurwa is not eligible to compete.

With less than nine weeks left before the Arnold Classic, he believes preparations are going on well.

“Dieting is very important at this stage, and I am taking about 300 grammes of carbohydrates per day and then about then 250 grammes of protein.

“This will go on for the next two weeks, after which I will make the necessary adjustment after weighing what I have amassed and what I require.”
