The ruling party, ZANU PF, will this weekend hold inter-district meetings, where party structures will be verified.

The process, which will be led by a select team of Politburo members, assisted by Central Committee members, is a continuation of the ongoing cell consolidation efforts in the party.

Addressing the media at the party headquarters, ZANU PF acting spokesperson Dr Mike Bimha said the meetings will be held countrywide.

“The various team leaders will be joined by the Central Committee members, who will be deployed to the various administrative districts.

“The objective of this program will include receiving progress reports on the current restructuring exercise, collecting copies of completed district executives and assessing the data capturing exercise of cells, branches, and districts,” said Cde Bimha.

He said ZANU PF remains committed to ensuring five million votes for President Mnangagwa in the 2023 elections.

Recently, the party announced that it has about four million members on its books.
