WORLD Boxing Council (WBC) vice president Houcine Houichi is looking forward to an exciting fight between interim super bantamweight champion Kudakwashe “Take Money” Chiwandire and Zulina Munoz of Mexico.
The boxers were both in weight on Thursday ahead of their fight at the Harare International Conference Centre on Friday.
Chiwandire’s WBC interim super bantamweight title is on the line.
The WBC vice president presided over the weigh-in and will supervise the match.
“Munoz is a former world champion, she has experience in big fights and I have watched her so many times.
“Kuda (Chiwandire) is a good boxer, she is young and it’s going to be experience versus youth.
“I expect a very good fight,” said Houichi, who is also the African Boxing Union president.
South African referee Thabo Spampool will officiate the bout.
There are six fights on the undercard, with the main attraction being the bout that features Jeremiah “Jingo” Mhere and Tinashe “Chairman” Madziwana.
They are contesting in a lightweight fight over eight rounds.
Highfield-bred Revai Madondo takes on Chimwemwe Banda of Malawi in a featherweight contest over six rounds.
