Singer-cum-street preacher Tatenda Pinjisi is set to take a short break from delivering street sermons.
Instead of preaching on the streets of Harare, Pinjisi will be spending much of his time in the studio, where he will be working on a new album that is set to be released on June 10.
The seven-track album will be titled “Vadyi Venhaka”.
Some of the songs on the album include “Chikuranzira,” “Zimbabwe,” “Mbereko,” “Maune,” “Tichafara” and “Jesu Anouya”.
The “Saina” hit-maker said he decided to take a street preaching sabbatical so that he can concentrate on his forthcoming project.
“I was called to spread the gospel, and I am doing that through preaching and singing.
“I decided to take a street preaching sabbatical so that I can record my album and, in the process, balance the two,” he said.
However, he indicated he was going to abandon the sungura beat and focus on undiluted gospel music in his future projects.
