Seed manufacturing company, Seed Co will with effect from August 1 send unvaccinated staff on leave to protect its vaccinated employees and stakeholders from Covid-19 infection.
This comes after the company started its own rollout of Covid-19 vaccines for employees and stakeholders following the purchase of 10 000 doses.
In a memorandum to staff, Seed Co regional director Dr Edworks Mhandu said employees will be barred from accessing company premises unless they produce a vaccination certificate or negative PCR certificates.
“While it is recognised that the individual has a right to choose not to be vaccinated, the company will exercise the right to protect vaccinated staff by barring entry of all unvaccinated employees and others into the Seed Co buses and premises.”
